Shunt Vaults
Momentarily borrowed by the ghosts of diluted sounds from above. Absorbed by the hum of the damp. Submerged beneath the bustling city. Falling beneath its frenetic verve, tunnelling downwards.
Down through, into this rabbit hole. Down into its cavernous, claustrophobic, dark depths. Falling, into this space, eerie, evocative, demanding. Encompassing and uncertain. Uncompromising, and quiet.
This space, to pause in, to withdraw your mask, this space to not know and find your self lost from fervent daily perception. This chance, a chance, to fall and enquire. To clamber through an engulfing landscape and to land, vulnerably, dancing in and out of time, immeasurable, and discover yourself a new.
The Fear of Falling was first exhibited at Shunt Vaults in September 2008.
